DAS attaches storage directly to one or two hosts — simple, fast and bounded. SAN shares block storage across a fabric, so many hosts can reach the same pools and the estate can grow independently of any single server. Hybrid flash tiers hot data onto solid state inside either layout, keeping spinning disks for capacity.
The deciding questions are how many hosts must reach the data, how the estate grows over three years, and which failure the business can tolerate. Send the host count and the capacity target and we will quote the layout that fits, with the drive population spelled out.
Drives are part of the quote
An array is only as specified as its drive list. Every storage quote from us names the drive models, sizes and counts per enclosure, so capacity and performance figures can be checked line by line before you commit.
